- Due to a scheduling conflict, the bike trip this weekend (August 2) has been postponed. The new date will be announced soon.
- If you are going to the Bowie Baysox game on Tuesday, August 5, meet at the troop shed no later than5:45 pm. We leave at 6. The cost is $14 per person. This covers a ticket, foot-long hot dog, box of popcorn and bag of peanuts. Bring $3 for a soda as well. Parents and siblings are welcome and parents are encouraged to drive!
- There is no meeting Wednesday, August 6.
- Our next camping trip, to Laruel Caverns in Virginia, is coming up. Email Mr. Lindsay (craiglindsay@comcast.net) by Tuesday, August 5 if you want to attend. The cost is $105 plus an optional $35 to earn the climbing merit badge inside the cave.
- We need pictures! The photos page was last updated 2 years ago. If you have pictures from our various camping trips and other activities and would like them on the website, give them to Mr. Browning at a meeting on a CD or USB drive or email them to the webmaster at abrowning42@gmail.com. Thank you!
- The next National Jamboree is being held on July 26, 2010 and lasts about 2 weeks at Fort A. P. Hill in Virginia, a 76,000-acre U.S. Army facility. This is a very highly recommended activity but fills up fast. Baltimore Area Council is sending 360 scouts and 40 leaders so sign up soon. Scouts who plan to attend must be first class and have completed 6th grade or be 12 years old by July 1, 2010 in order to attend. This is not a troop activity so scouts are responsible for signing up themselves. For more information, call Glenn Sellers at 410-668-3443 or James Barton at 443-573-2536.
